Open application freezes on a Mac


An application is having problems. freezes , or otherwise stops responding.

-Try to save your document, quit, and reopen the application.

*Always save your documents often to prepare against these circumstances

-If you can't , press the apple, option and esc keys at the same time to open the Force Quit applications window. Highlight the program you wish to quit, then click the "Force quit" button -Throw away the application prefrences.

-Double-click the hard drive icon, and open the Library folder, then the Preferences folder.

-Search for the file(s) or folder that pertains to the application, and drag it to the trash.

-Restart the computer.

-Once the computer is finished rebooting, re-open the application you were using.
